El Camino Real 4, San Fernando 1--Tony Sangari scored his ninth goal and Jose Rivera-Otero his eighth to give the Conquistadores (11-4-1, 6-1) a 2-0 lead in the first 10 minutes of a Northwest Valley Conference game at San Fernando.
Chatsworth 4, Kennedy 2--Joe Rivera, Jeremy Everakes, Cesar Gurrola and Abdullah Safdari scored for the Chancellors (3-4-2, 3-2-2) in a Northwest Valley Conference game at Kennedy.
Buena 1, Ventura 0--Brad Workman scored his 11th goal off an assist from Jeremy Bates in the 21st minute for the Bulldogs (13-3-3, 2-1-1) in a Channel League game at Buena.
Ventura (5-6-5, 0-3) had an opportunity to tie the game with five minutes remaining, but Mike Enfield’s shot was pushed over the crossbar by Buena goalkeeper Lani Kaluna.
Hart 3, Burbank 1--Oscar Mendez scored his fourth and fifth goals, both assisted by Jared Bazar, and the Indians (10-2-4, 4-1) moved into first place in the Foothill League at Burbank.
Canyon 2, Burroughs 1--Joey Fitzpatrick scored the winner off an assist from Doug Reynolds with 10 minutes to play and the Cowboys (7-7-5, 2-2-1) overcame a halftime deficit in a Foothill League game at Burroughs.
Rio Mesa 8, Channel Islands 3--Ivan Medina scored three goals and the Spartans (12-3-4, 5-1) extended a 3-2 halftime lead in a Pacific View League game at Rio Mesa.
Medina, a senior midfielder, has 12 goals, nine on direct kicks. He has scored on five of his last seven shots.
GIRLS’ SOCCER
Chatsworth 5, San Pedro 1--Shannon DeVos scored twice and also stopped a penalty kick for Chatsworth (13-2-1, 3-0) in a Coast/Valley League game at San Pedro.
El Camino Real 1, Palisades 0--Christina Enea scored midway through the second half off an assist by Maytal Schvartz for the Conquistadores (8-1-2, 2-1) in a Coast/Valley League game at Palisades (1-4, 0-3).
Van Nuys 3, Poly 0--Ana Beauchamp scored her fourth and fifth goals for the Wolves (4-2, 2-1) in a Mid-Valley League game at Poly.
Canyon 2, Burroughs 0--Jasmine Cetrone scored both goals and the Cowboys (10-2-1, 4-0-1) maintained their Foothill League lead at Canyon.
Quartz Hill 1, Lancaster 0--Olaya Salazar scored her seventh goal off an assist from Jodie Cox in the fourth minute and the Rebels (9-4-3, 4-0) held off Lancaster (7-8-1, 2-2) in a Golden League game at Quartz Hill.
Buena 3, Ventura 3--Sarah Bailey of Ventura (11-7-3, 1-0-2) scored the final goal with 22 minutes to play in a Channel League tie with the visiting Bulldogs (14-2-2, 3-0-1).
Bailey scored twice, as did Buena’s Natalie Sanderson, who has 24 goals.
