A run-down apartment complex that was declared a public nuisance in June may soon face the wrecking ball if the landlord continues to fail to bring the dilapidated building up to city and county codes, city officials said Tuesday.
The Planning Commission voted 4 to 3 at Tuesday night’s public hearing to recommend that the City Council have the pink, green and blue two-story residence at 219 S. Melrose Ave. torn down. The council will make its decision Aug. 17.
