The deadline to apply for a seat on one of four city commissions is Friday. The Planning, Recreation and Parks, Cultural Arts and Traffic Safety commissions will each have two vacant two-year positions beginning July 1. One Recreation and Parks Commission seat must be filled by a high school student. Students should contact their school principal for a recommendation.
Commissioners receive $25 to $50 per month for their services. Residents can pick up application forms from the city clerk’s office; applications must be filed by 5 p.m. Friday at City Hall, 401 E. Chapman Ave. The City Council will make the appointments later this month. Information: (714) 993-8231.
