Mahler Society Sets Its 33rd Mahlerthon

Presented by the Gustav Mahler Society, a 33rd annual Mahlerthon is scheduled Saturday, from 8 a.m. until after midnight.
Ten symphonies and “Das Lied von der Erde,” all in video performances, will be presented.
Among the conductors will be Tennstedt, Kaplan, Haitink, Bernstein, Solti and Olson; the orchestras include those of Chicago, Berlin, Vienna and Israel. The Mahlerthon will be held at 1616 N. Sierra Bonita Ave.
