Students Sought for Agriculture Program

The University of California is offering a free six-week summer academy for Ventura County high school students interested in agricultural studies.
“The Growing Academy” will offer students hands-on training in vegetable and greenhouse production techniques and landscaping.
The program will run June 18 to Aug. 5 at Ventura College and the Hansen Agricultural Learning Center. Participants can receive one unit of college credit.
