The City Council tonight will hear from the 23 candidates who want to serve on the El Toro Redevelopment Project Advisory Committee. The 10-member committee will provide feedback to the council on the master plan for redevelopment of the shopping districts in the El Toro Road area. The committee will be made up of one City Council member, a planning commissioner, a Parks and Recreation commissioner, a commercial developer, two members of the general public, and two merchants, a commercial property owner and a resident from the project area. The council may vote on the candidates tonight or wait until next week’s meeting. Tonight’s meeting begins at 7 in council chambers, 23161 Lake Center Drive.
