* With great disgust I read your March 10 article on the dismantling of the Sunset Strip’s Marlboro Man. My disgust did not result from a belief that smoking is good (I am not a smoker), nor did it come from the loss of a “landmark”; rather it came from the reported actions of West Hollywood Councilman Paul Koretz. What gall he has to leave crushed cigarettes on the sidewalk!
Those cigarettes were surely washed into the storm drain. Hasn’t Koretz seen the multimillion-dollar ad campaign aimed at preventing pollution of Santa Monica Bay?
