Jill Trader/Basketball, Brea Olinda/Junior
Pressed into the starting lineup for the first time in her high school career because of Chelsea Trotter’s injury, Trader had a game-high 17 points and team-high seven rebounds as Brea won the Southern California girls’ basketball title with a 69-65 win over Fresno Edison. Her performance was huge also because the other starting post player, Kate Ides, got in early foul trouble.

Had 29 points, 12 rebounds to beat The Bishop’s for Eagles’ first regional championship.
Maggie Barnett/Basketball; Rosary/Junior
Averaged 25 points in three games as Rosary reached Southern California title game.
Candie Kung/Golf; Fountain Valley/Senior
Shot 74 and was medalist in a match against Brea Olinda, ranked No. 3 in Orange County.
