Quarter’s Booming So Far for Biolase

Biolase Technology Inc., San Clemente-based maker of dental and surgical lasers, said its sales for the first two months of the year surpassed the highest sales ever recorded for a full first quarter.
The company generated sales of $1.06 million for January and February, compared with sales of $262,530 for the first three months last year, the company said.
The company attributed the higher sales to “greater market acceptance” of its Millennium Hydrokinetic dental laser, an expanded domestic sales force and the addition of new international distributors.
Despite the announcement, the stock closed unchanged at $2.94 a share.
