The City Council on Tuesday unanimously approved preliminary plans to allocate about $308,000 in Community Development Block Grant funds for fiscal 1999-2000. If the plans are given final approval in May, the money will go toward various nonprofit service providers and projects in South County, including renovating playing fields at George White Elementary School.
