* “How to Finance Your Small Business” will be the topic of a workshop by the Gold Coast Small Business Development Center from 1 to 4 p.m. Wednesday at 5700 Ralston St., Suite 310, Ventura. Topics will include traditional and nontraditional sources of funding, SBA loan programs, bank criteria for approving loans and the basics of financial management.

* An all-day workshop on “Marketing--The Heart of Every Business” will be sponsored by the Ventura County chapter of the Service Corps of Retired Executives beginning at 9 a.m. Saturday at Oxnard College, 4000 S. Rose Ave. The workshop is the third in a series of five.

* A Realtors and Affiliates Trade Fair, sponsored by the Ventura County Coastal Assn. of Realtors, will be held from 3 to 6 p.m. April 13 at the Oxnard Radisson Hotel, 600 Esplanade Drive.

* The Ventura County Professional Women’s Business Conference will be held from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. May 1 at the Doubletree Hotel in Ventura. The keynote speaker will be Lois Frankel on “Everything I Learned About Leadership I Learned at the Movies.”
