Philadelphia defenseman Eric Desjardins will be out indefinitely after hyperextending his left knee in Sunday’s 5-4 victory over Detroit.
Tests done on Desjardins on Monday revealed the hyperextension as well as a partial ligament injury and bone bruising.
Desjardins already has begun rehabilitation, but the doctor would not set a timetable for his return.
