THIS WEEK
Baseball: The 11th-ranked Titans (21-5, 6-0 Big West) will take an 11-game winning streak into their home game at 7 tonight against Loyola Marymount. Fullerton plays a key Big West series against 22nd-ranked Nevada at Titan Field this weekend. Games begin at 7 p.m Friday and Saturday and at 1 p.m. Sunday. The school-record winning streak is 19 in 1978. The 1995 national championship team finished the season with an 18-game streak.
Softball: The Titans (15-12) have a busy week beginning at 5 p.m. today against Ohio State. Fullerton plays Cal Poly San Luis Obispo at 5 p.m. Friday and at 2 p.m. Saturday, and Hawaii at 11 a.m. Sunday.
Women’s gymnastics: The Titans host the Big West Conference championships at 7 p.m. Saturday in Titan Gym. Freshman Megan Berry is the Titans’ top contender for the all-around title. Berry, however, had one of her lowest scores of the season (37.625) because of misses on the bars and beam in last weekend’s meet against San Jose State. Teammate Kellie Francia had a career-high 37.775 score in the all-around.
Women’s tennis: The Titans (7-8) host Air Force at 2 p.m. Wednesday and Pacific at 2 p.m. Friday.
Track: The men’s and women’s teams will compete in the Castillo Invitational at Tempe, Ariz., Friday and Saturday.
