No. 6 San Clemente 201, Mission Viejo 220--Austin Berger shot a three-over 39 to medal for San Clemente at Pacific. San Clemente improves to 6-1, 2-1.
In nonleague golf:
No. 1 Santa Margarita 387, No. 5 Brea Olinda 396--Taylor Wood led Santa Margarita with a 75. Alex Oh of Brea Olinda was the medalist with a 74 on the Cota de Caza/Coyote Hills courses. The Eagles are 5-0. Brea Olinda is 2-2.
Ocean View 190, No. 9 Marina 192--Ryan Ford of Ocean View shot a one-under 34 including chipping in for an eagle on the fourth hole from 30 feet at Meadowlark. Paul Brewer had a 36 for Marina (4-1).
Canyon 199, Orange 244--Scooter Baum was the medalist with a par 35 to lead Canyon (4-1).
Villa Park 407, Estancia 422--Zach Cohn shot a seven-over 78 for Villa Park (2-2) at Green River and Costa Mesa. Tom Rausch was the medalist with a 76 for Estancia.
In nonleague softball:
Fairmont 14, Heritage Christian 4--Melissa Rab and Vanessa Burns combined on a two-hitter for visiting Fairmont (2-1).
Rancho Alamitos 13, Artesia 1--Jami Weddle hit two home runs and drove in five for Rancho Alamitos (4-7).
Southern California Christian 7, Murietta Calvary Chapel 1--Bethany Brown went four for four with two doubles for visiting SCC (5-1).
In Garden Grove League boys’ track and field:
Pacifica 118, Bolsa Grande 9--Steve Naughton won the 1,600 (4 minutes 49.4 seconds) and 3,200 (10:42.1) and Danny Dinh cleared six feet to win the high jump for Pacifica (1-0 in league).
In Garden Grove League girls’ track and field:
Pacifica 112, Bolsa Grande 15--Christine Krause finished first in the 800 (2:35.1), 1,600 (5:55.1) and 3,200 (13:00) for Pacific (1-0 in league).
