Free-PC to Report Over $33 Million in Funding

Free-PC.com, the Pasadena company that plans to give away up to 1 million computers to customers in exchange for their personal information, is expected to announce today that it has raised more than $33 million from private sources. The investors include USA Networks, Goldman Sachs Group, Idealab Capital Partners, and Moore Capital Management. Free-PC.com is scheduled to distribute the first 10,000 Compaq computers this month.
