Bravo to Diane Farrell regarding Barbra Streisand’s huge ego (Letters, May 9). I would only add to her letter that Streisand issue a press release stating that when it comes to public performances, people with six-figure incomes need only apply. You lower- and middle-income people worship me through my videos and CDs, because I will never allow you to be a part of my audience.

I can’t imagine why you published that sanctimonious letter last Sunday from John R. Harris--except to get a rise from the likes of me!
He takes exception to referring to the word “shag” as a euphemism for the act of having sex. I’d like to know if he has a “sex” rug in his house, or if in his athletic days (which are clearly long since past!) he ever “sexed” a fly ball in the outfield?
If there’s anything I can’t stand, it’s a humorless, tight-”bottomed,” stuffed-shirt, reeking of ancient flatulence!
