Community Affairs Officer Ann-Marie Chrisman will offer two workshops on holiday shopping safety Dec. 8 and 13.
She said the holiday season, when people are carrying heavy loads of gifts and cash, is a time when thieves target seniors.
She will advise seniors to shop with a buddy, hang onto their purses and have their keys ready as they approach their cars.
The first workshop, which is open to everyone, begins at 9 a.m. Dec. 8 at Leisure World’s Clubhouse 3. The second begins at 11 a.m. Dec. 13 in Clubhouse 5.
