Los Angeles songwriters Kathrin Shorr, Tim Burlingame, David Zink and Brett Perkins will perform at 8 tonight at Exile Books and Music, 14925 Magnolia Blvd., Sherman Oaks. $7 cover charge. Borders Northridge will salute teachers this weekend, offering a 25% discount on items purchased for personal use as well as classroom use, to those with current teacher identification.
