Workers are set to begin major construction and repairs of curbs, gutters, sidewalks and access ramps in Turtle Rock.
The project will begin in mid-October and is expected to be completed by January 2000, Public Works officials said.
One of the repairs includes rebuilding sidewalk corners to meet the requirements of the Americans with Disabilities Act.
“Residents should expect the normal noise associated with construction, but our staff is taking extra care that the contractor has cleaned up the area for the weekend,” said Tom Mazzola, city project management administrator at the city’s Public Works Department.
The contractor, All American Asphalt, will only be permitted to work during the week, from 7 a.m. to dusk, and will not be able to work on holidays, Mazzola said.
The project is part of an annual program to repair sidewalks that are considered “trip hazards.”
