Valley 38, Glendale 13--The Monarchs won the WSC Northern Division game at Valley with their most-balanced offensive effort of the season.

The Monarchs (3-1, 2-0) gained 505 yards, including 228 yards rushing.

Hezekiah Morgan gained a season-high 71 yards in 17 carries with two touchdowns and teammate Vinny Walker led all rushers with 77 yards in 14 carries and scored one touchdown.

Mike Frost of Glendale (2-2, 1-1), who entered the game as the state’s leading passer, was sacked five times and had three passes intercepted. Frost completed 21 of 40 passes for 259 yards.

Valley’s Eric Holtfreter completed 14 of 24 passes for 277 yards, including a 22-yard touchdown pass to Julian Battle. Battle caught six passes for 157 yards.
