Gun Maker to Be Sued Over Littleton

The parents of Isaiah Shoels, one of 12 students murdered by two teenage gunmen in a Colorado high school massacre in April, said in Denver that they plan to sue at least one of the companies that produced the weapons that killed their son. The move to sue the gun makers for negligent marketing follows last month’s decision by a California appeals court that victims of a 1993 shooting massacre that left eight people dead should be allowed to sue Miami gun manufacturer Navegar Inc. Navegar’s subsidiary, Intratec, makes the semiautomatic TEC-DC9 weapon used in the April 20 shootings in Columbine, Colo.
