Ice Dogs Rally Past Chicago

The Long Beach Ice Dogs rallied from a 2-0 deficit and edged the Western Conference rival Chicago Wolves, 4-3, in an International Hockey League game at Chicago.
Trailing by two goals after one period, the Ice Dogs came to life as Len Barrie, Rob Pearson and Doug Ast scored in the second period for a 3-2 lead.
Chicago rallied to the tie the score, 3-3, before Nils Ekman’s power-play goal midway through the third period provided the difference for the Ice Dogs.
Long Beach’s Pavel Rosa kept his scoring streak alive with an assist on Ekman’s goal. He has scored in all five of the Ice Dogs’ games this season.
Goalie Marcel Cousineau stopped 28 shots for Long Beach, which is 2-3. Chicago fell to 3-2.
