ORANGE COUNTY EARNINGS

WFS Financial Inc.: The Irvine automobile finance company reported record earnings of $12.7 million, or 49 cents a share, for the third quarter, contrasted with a net loss of $3.9 million, or 15 cents a share, for the same period a year earlier. Revenue rose to $82.7 million from $39.5 million. WFS is a subsidiary of Westcorp.
