Nordhoff 30, Santa Paula 8--Jessie Hawkins rushed for 199 yards and two touchdowns for host Nordhoff.
The Rangers (5-2, 2-0) gained 386 yards.
Santa Paula (4-3, 0-1), playing without starting quarterback Chad Metelak, was limited to eight yards in the first half. The Cardinals avoided a shutout on Jacob Macias’ 44-yard touchdown reception from Mark Zavala with 1:41 to play.
Metelak sat out because of a sprained right ankle.
Hawkins rushed for 109 yards in nine first-half carries, and Brett Ferrante scored on a three-yard run just before halftime to give the Rangers a 17-0 lead.
Scott Drew kicked field goals from 35, 37 and 34 yards, and caught four passes for 43 yards.
The Rangers outgained the Cardinals 309-31 yards on the ground, 386-105 total.
