No Injuries in 4.0 Owens Valley Quake

A magnitude 4.0 earthquake rattled an Owens Valley area on the southeast side of Lone Pine on Tuesday afternoon, the U.S. Geological Survey reported.
The quake, near the Owens Valley fault, occurred at 3:59 p.m., and caused no damage or injuries.
The temblor was not related to the 7.1 Hector Mine earthquake, which jolted the Mojave Desert on Oct. 16.
