LAGUNA HILLS

There’s a new street in town, thanks to some Laguna Hills High School students.

The City Council signed a resolution Tuesday designating the entrance to the school “Hawk High Way,” with illuminated street signs. Two signs will be mounted on the traffic signals at Paseo de Valencia and the high school.

The Associated Student Body chose the name and sent the request to the council for approval.

Kenneth Rosenfield, city engineer and director of public works for the city, said he doesn’t think the request was for a directional purpose, but more out of spirit for the school mascot, the hawk.
