Velazquez Helps Santa Ana Win

Ana Velazquez, a former Santa Ana Valley High standout, scored two goals, and Noelle Garcia score one to give Santa Ana a 3-0 victory over Porterville in pool play at the Hancock women’s soccer tournament Saturday in Santa Maria.
Luz Orozco assisted Velazquez on her first goal. Carrie Yoak had three saves for the shutout. Santa Ana plays Glendale today in a semifinal game.
Santa Ana and College of the Sequoias tied 0-0 in an earlier game.
