Chelsea Trotter of Brea Olinda High School has reached a verbal agreement with Stanford University to study there next year on a full basketball scholarship.

The two-time CIF and state Division II player of the year will be the first Brea Olinda player to attend Stanford on a full scholarship.

“She’s worked hard for this since her freshman year, and she deserves it,” Brea Olinda girls’ basketball coach Jeff Sink said.
