VENTURA COUNTY ROUNDUP : Countywide : Marine Sanctuary Needs Advisor

Got a background or interest in tourism in the coastal region that includes Ventura County? Then consider applying as an advisor to the Channel Islands National Marine Sanctuary.
The sanctuary’s 20-member advisory council, which makes recommendations to federal managers of the 1,658-acre sanctuary surrounding Channel Islands National Park, needs a tourism representative. Council meetings are every other month and deal with topics from recreation to fishing to scientific research.
Applicants must request an application no later than Sept. 22 and submit it by Oct. 4. For details, call 966-7107, Ext. 364.
