The city will hold a community meeting at 6 p.m. Wednesday to discuss plans for development in East Orange. According to Mayor Joanne Coontz, the city spent about 15 years and millions of dollars to create plans for homes and schools to be built in the area, which the Sheriff’s Department is now considering for a maximum-security jail. The meeting will take place at City Hall, 300 E. Chapman Ave.
