For years, residents have called on the city to put more landscaped medians in the west part of town. Homeowners there feel ignored, said Lee Day, who lives off Fairmont Boulevard.
“The city has beautiful medians on the east side,” she said. “And if you look at this side of Yorba Linda Boulevard, it looks pathetic.”
The City Council this week approved the transfer of $784,000 from the city’s capital improvements budget to pay for medians along parts of Yorba Linda Boulevard, said Roy Stephenson, director of public works. He said once the money is allocated, the city will hire a design firm to plan their exact location.
