The Placentia-Yorba Linda School District is rethinking the way it buys computers.
Instead of buying from discount providers, officials are considering doing business with top-tier computer companies. They may also start getting parents involved in deciding the type of technology to buy for students.
Years of buying lower-quality computers from local vendors has forced the district to have a trained computer representative at every school to trouble-shoot frequent problems.
