About 70 people are needed this weekend to help plant, weed and clean up the Niguel Botanical Preserve, 16 acres of land in Crown Valley Community Park.
The work is part of Volunteer Connection Days, a countywide project that mobilizes residents to help out and spruce up their towns.
Sylvia Friedrichsen, recreation supervisor for the city, said she needs 100 people, but only 30 have signed up to help.
