MANHATTAN BEACH — A woman who was the subject of a nationwide hunt pleaded not guilty Wednesday to the charge that she tried to murder her brother’s fiancee.
Brenda Jean Davis, 45, fled to Park City Utah after she was charged last year with breaking into her brother’s fiancee’s house and trying to kill her.
After a year in hiding, she surrendered to Manhattan Beach police Tuesday night, and is being held on $1-million bail.
She will be back in court April 26 for a pretrial hearing.
