Edick’s 57 Helps Hart Win Rematch

Brian Edick shot a four-under-par 57 and Hart High defeated Calabasas, 319-337, in a nonleague golf match at Vista Valencia Golf Course on Monday.
Edick, a sophomore, shot three-under on the front nine and had one bogey in the round.
Joey Kroagman followed with a 64 and Josh Edwards had a 65 for the Indians (28-6-1), ranked No. 4 in the region by The Times. Edwards had a hole in one on the par-three No. 8.
It was the second meeting in five days between the teams, which tied, 392-392, at Calabasas Golf and Country Club on Thursday.
Justin Ohye shot a 63 to lead No. 2-ranked Calabasas (10-2-1).
In another golf match:
Arcadia 190, Crescenta Valley 203--Kyle Anderson and Jamin Neil each shot five-over-par 40s for Crescenta Valley (20-2, 8-2) at Santa Anita Golf Course.
SOFTBALL
Highland 4, Lancaster 0--Nichole Rawson pitched a no-hitter, striking out seven and walking three, in a Golden League game at Highland.
Rawson (9-6) also had a double for the Bulldogs (10-6, 3-1) and scored on a fielder’s choice by Keri Pulcifer.
Crescenta Valley 1, Arcadia 0--Meredith Cervenka (16-1) threw a one-hitter, struck out 11 and walked one while recording her 13th shutout of the season in a Pacific League game at Arcadia.
Crescenta Valley (16-1, 4-0) scored in the first when Lindsay Ray’s two-out bloop single drove in Ally Webber from third.
El Camino Real 24, Birmingham 0--Melissa Coogan pitched a five-inning perfect game in a West Valley League game called after five innings because of the 10-run rule at Birmingham.
Coogan (13-1) struck out nine and also had five hits and four runs batted in for El Camino Real (15-2-1, 7-0).
Lily Landers hit a grand slam and Jackie Goodchild had five hits and three RBIs.
BASEBALL
Verdugo Hills 3, Poly 0--Daniel Serrano pitched a four-hitter and Seth Craig hit a run-scoring double with two out in the first inning to help Verdugo Hills (7-4, 5-4) to a Sunset Six League victory at Poly (16-5, 5-4).
North Hollywood 13, Grant 6--Miguel Cabrera had four hits, three RBIs and scored two runs for the visiting Huskies (11-12, 7-2) in a Sunset Six League victory.
Nordhoff 11, Santa Clara 1--Travis Flowers (6-1) threw a two-hitter with 12 strikeouts for the host Rangers (11-4, 6-1) in a Frontier League game called after five innings because of the 10-run rule.
Moorpark 9, Walnut Creek Las Lomas 4--Blake Sharpe had three hits, including a bases-loaded triple in the second, and the Musketeers (12-6) won a nonleague game at Las Lomas.
Crespi 3, Downey 1--Marshall Plouffe struck out six and scattered six hits for the Celts (16-3-1) in the second round of the St. Paul tournament at Downey.
Hueneme 11, Oxnard 7--Jason Austin had two doubles and five RBIs for the host Vikings (5-14, 1-6) in a Pacific View League victory.
Luis Aguayo (2-3) had five strikeouts in the last two innings.
St. Bonaventure 11, Carpinteria 1--Billy Owczarski had two hits and two RBIs in a Tri-Valley League game at St. Bonaventure that was halted after five innings because of the 10-run rule.
Jeff Springgate had two hits and scored two runs for St. Bonaventure (14-3-1, 7-1).
Carpinteria is 11-2, 8-2.
