La Habra (11-1) vs. Covina (9-3)

7 TONIGHT WALNUT HIGH
Covina stifled Western’s point-a-minute offense last week with some timely defensive plays, including a 99-yard interception return to clinch the 37-28 upset. La Habra’s smash-mouth defense was also up to par, holding University to 14 yards rushing in a 13-7 victory. If the Highlanders are to reach the Division IX title game, they must break up the passing chemistry of David Ulrich to Daniel Ulrich. La Habra running back Brent West needs to control the clock on offense and set up passing lanes for quarterback Mike Keeling.
