Vitesse Semiconductor of Camarillo, a supplier of integrated circuits for systems manufacturers in the communications and automatic test equipment markets, has been added to the Standard & Poor’s 500 Electronics Semiconductors industry group.
The addition was made after the close of trading Monday. The change was one of several announced by Standard & Poor’s to its 500, 100, MidCap 400 and SmallCap 600 lists. Vitesse was one of three companies chosen to replace Polaroid Corp., Springs Industries Inc. and Russell Corp. in the S&P; 500 Index.
With the change, Vitesse moved up from the S&P; MidCap 400 Index.
