Holiday Closings

The following schedules will be in effect during the Christmas weekend:
* Government: City, county and state offices will be closed Monday. Federal offices will be closed Monday and Tuesday.
* Courts: County and state courts will be closed Monday. Federal courts will be closed Monday and Tuesday.
* Libraries: City libraries will be closed today through Monday. County libraries will be closed Sunday and Monday.
* Banks: They will be closed Monday.
* Schools: There will be no classes at most public elementary or secondary schools through Jan. 8. Year-round schools will reopen Jan. 2.
* Mail: There will be no mail delivery Monday; most post offices will be closed. Express mail service will be available at some post offices. Call (800) 275-8777 to find the nearest open post office.
* Trash: Next week and the first week of January, trash pickup will be delayed one day.
* Mass transit: On Monday, buses will follow the Sunday schedule; Metrolink trains will not be in service.
