Jackson Carries Harvard-Westlake, 23-4

Jeanine Jackson scored 10 goals to pace Harvard-Westlake High past South Pasadena, 23-4, in a first-round game of the Southern Section Division IV playoffs at Harvard-Westlake.
Paloma Slezak added four goals for Harvard-Westlake (24-4), ranked No. 1 in the region by The Times.
In other first-round games:
Agoura 28, Oxnard 6--De De Perram had six goals and Kerianna Miranda scored four for the Chargers in a Division II playoff victory at Agoura (19-6).
San Luis Obispo 5, Newbury Park 4--Katy Fick scored twice for host Newbury Park but the Panthers lost a Division II game. Lindsay Berke and Jennifer Martens each scored for Newbury Park.
Burroughs 10, Whittier 7--Sarah Vejar scored four goals and Erin Knowles had three for Burroughs (25-5) in a Division III game at Serra High.
