Big Sky Conference play begins Thursday for the Cal State Northridge men’s and women’s basketball teams.
The men host Northern Arizona at 7:05 p.m. Northridge (8-3) improved to 5-0 at home with a 94-86 victory over Cal Poly San Luis Obispo on Sunday.
Northern Arizona center Dan McClintock, a 7-foot senior, was selected Big Sky player of the week after scoring 23 points and grabbing 12 rebounds in a 97-68 victory over San Luis Obispo. McClintock averages 14.8 points and 7.1 rebounds.
The Matadors are 2-6 against Northern Arizona in Big Sky games.
The Northridge women (6-4) play at Northern Arizona in a game originally scheduled for Friday. The game was switched because of an appearance by the Harlem Globetrotters on Friday at Northern Arizona.
Edniesha Curry of Northridge ranks second in scoring among Big Sky players, averaging 15.8 points.
