The City Council canceled its special council meeting Tuesday for lack of a quorum, marking the third consecutive meeting to be canceled because two of the city’s four council members were not present.
A fifth council seat, previously held by Gene Wisner, has been vacant since his resignation in September.
Councilmen Henry W. Wedaa and Mark Schwing could not attend Tuesday’s meeting because of illness, said City Clerk Carolyn Wallace.
City officials said the canceled council meetings have not affected city business. But they have had an effect on developers, some of whom have waited almost a month to get approvals.
