School Bathrooms

* Now that the Los Angeles Unified School District has vowed to update its restrooms (Jan. 21), I suggest that someone (the parents and teachers to start with) also teach the students to leave their felt markers and scratching instruments at home. Not all the destruction was caused by neglect. A lot of it was caused, as in many other locations, by sheer vandalism and poor hygiene habits, as witness the scratched up walls and toilet seats shown on TV.
