Tribesmen Kidnap Second American

Yemeni tribesmen have kidnapped another American, the second U.S. citizen abducted since Wednesday, and have taken him to an unknown location, a Western diplomat and a tribal source said. The American, who was not identified, was kidnapped Thursday in Shabwa province, the diplomat said on condition of anonymity. His account was verified by the tribal source. The identity of the kidnappers and their demands were not immediately clear. On Wednesday, an American identified as Kenneth White was kidnapped by members of the al-Faheed tribe in Marib province. White works for oil field services giant Halliburton, a Dallas-based company. Yemeni tribesmen often kidnap foreigners to pressure the government into providing money or better services.
