2 Men Arrested in Child Porn Case

SAN DIEGO — Two men were arrested Friday for alleged involvement in what police say may have been a large-scale child pornography operation using the Internet.
Police found more than 1,000 videotapes involving underage girls at a home in the blue-collar Mira Mesa section of San Diego. Police spokesman Bill Robinson said the size of the cache suggests that it was “a pretty well-organized operation.”
Officers arrested Talen Asher Anderson, 35, on suspicion of child pornography and Marshal Ray Glover, 32, on suspicion of rape and having sex with a minor.
The investigation began after a 17-year-old girl alleged that she was given alcohol and drugs as an inducement to have sex with men. Police said the girl reported that at least two other girls received the same treatment.
Police plan to examine the tapes--contained in 12 trunks--to see if other underage victims can be identified. Also seized at the home were computers, photographic equipment and materials indicating that the tapes were for sale.
The 17-year-old also told police that one of the men bragged that he had explosives in the house. But in a raid by SWAT officers, no explosives were found.
