Stars and Stargazers Will Collide at Universe 2000 Expo in Pasadena

Bill Nye, “The Science Guy”; “Star Trek: Voyager’s” Robert Picardo and Tim Russ and executive producer Brannon Braga; “X-Files” executive producer Frank Spotnitz; and “Blade Runner” and “2010” production designer Syd Mead will appear at Universe 2000 Expo, a family-friendly celebration of astronomy and space presented by the Astronomical Society of the Pacific and Astronomy Magazine, Saturday from 8:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Sunday from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Pasadena Civic Center.
The event also includes leading astronomers, exhibitions, panel discussions, hands-on activities for children, book signings, an auction and a raffle for a telescope.
The center is at 300 E. Green St. in Pasadena.
Admission is $15 for one day; $25 for both days.
Children younger than 12 are free (must be accompanied by adult).
