The city has hired the engineering consulting firm Berryman & Henigar to oversee the Talega development project.
The firm will serve as a liaison between project developers Talega Associates LLC and the city’s staff.
The San Diego-based firm will monitor the project’s progress, handle site development and map reviews, and ensure that the city’s development standards are followed.
The Talega project is a 4,900-home development in the eastern hills of San Clemente, expected to be completed in 2010, at an estimated cost of $1.5 billion.
