California Nurses Endorse Nader

Ralph Nader, the consumer advocate running for the Green Party’s presidential nomination, on Wednesday secured the largest endorsement of his longshot campaign: the backing of 31,000 California nurses.
Nader, whose single-digit nationwide support is strongest in California, received the California Nurses Assn.’s endorsement because of his past support of the union’s agenda and his efforts to ensure universal health care, CNA president Kay McVay said.
In a nationwide CNN/Gallup poll this month, 6% of respondents plan to vote for Nader in November’s election.
The Green Party is expected to officially nominate the 66-year-old author and two-time presidential candidate on June 25 at its national convention in Denver.
