The remains of six former comrades of Argentine Cuban guerrilla legend Ernesto “Che” Guevara, all killed fighting in Bolivia 33 years ago, have been flown to Cuba, state media reported. The arrival Sunday of the remains of the three Cubans, two Bolivians and one Peruvian brought to nearly 30 the number of former guerrillas killed with Guevara whose bodies have been transported to the Communist-ruled island for final burial over the last three years. The six were part of a rebel group led by Guevara that tried unsuccessfully to launch a peasant revolution in Bolivia. Guevara , who played a leading role in Cuba’s 1959 revolution alongside Fidel Castro, was killed by the Bolivian army in October 1967. A Cuban forensic team discovered the grave of Guevara in Bolivia in 1997.
