Brokerage Salomon Smith Barney on Tuesday touted a new “future economy” portfolio of stocks, picking five new-economy and five old-economy companies it believes are “the most Internet-savvy and the best able to integrate the new economy and the old economy.” The 10: America Online (AOL), DoubleClick (DCLK), EBay (EBAY), RealNetworks (RNWK), Vignette (VIGN), home builder Centex (CTX), retailer Gap (GPS), FedEx (FDX), airline UAL (UAL) and Wells Fargo (WFC).
