Agents Kill Trucker in Border Confrontation

SAN DIEGO — A trucker was shot and killed during a confrontation with U.S. customs agents Thursday night, a San Diego policeman said.
The confrontation occurred at the Otay Mesa border crossing.
No customs agents were injured in the incident. The trucker, from Baja California, died at the scene.
The incident was being investigated by the San Diego Police Department’s homicide squad, police spokesman Bill Robinson said.
No information was known about the details of the confrontation.
